Children In Need grant secured

Plas Derw Trust are celebrating after securing a three year grant from the BBC Children in Need appeal. The grant was awarded to allow us to continue delivering our project 'Making a Postitive Difference' to local primary aged Children from schools across Flintshire. 

The project uses the Forest school ethos to improve personal qualities in children. By taking the children in to the safe stimulating environment of the woods, we set them up to acheive with small attainable tasks. Through games and activities we work on their self esteem, self confidence social skills and motivation and concentration. We ran a small pilot project ealier this year and had great feedback from the schools pupils and parents. We are really pleased to recieve the funding allowing us to run the project for the next three years.
